2008 AWARDS ANNOUNCEMENT

ATMIA’s Executive Board has voted to reduce the number of annual international awards from 5 to 3 as from 2008. The selection process differs for each award.

2008 Global Industry Awards

1. Lifetime Achievement Award - Individual   

The ATMIA Lifetime Achievement Award shall be awarded to an individual:

  - Who has served in the ATM industry for at least ten years

  - Who is widely recognized by his/her peers as an exceptional and mature leader able to exert sustained positive influence on the industry

  - Whose many achievements or successes in the industry have changed it for the better OR who has managed a business/operation in the ATM industry which is both highly successful and a model of industry best practice and business ethics

Selection Process: The winner is selected by the ATMIA Executive Board.

2. ATM Industry Award for Excellence
Joint global award with ATM Marketplace

At least one of these awards criteria will have been met in order for success in this award:

  - Long-term positive influence on improving the industry 
  - Excellence in technology or levels of service
  - Leader in applying best practice

  - Specific and measurable achievements producing tangible results

Selection Process: The winner is selected by ATMIA members by majority vote.

3. Best Contributor to ATM Security       
This award is given to the company or individual who has made the most positive impact on preventing or reducing ATM fraud/crime in a given year.

Selection Process: The winner is selected by the GASA ExCo after open nominations from the industry.

To nominate a person or company for an above award, please email Mike Lee, mike@atmia.com the contact details of the person or company you are nominating, which award your are nominating them for, and a 500 word persuasive document on why this person or company should be chosen for this award.
